For starters, what is CBD Oil

Practically speaking, CBD is synonymous with Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is that plant-based compound found in the Cannabis plant which is part of the Cannabaceae family. CBD is different then its' cousin Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), therefore it is not psychoactive. When a consumer sees CBD oil, it is likely oil extracted from the "hemp" version of the Cannabis plant. Hemp is typically the extremely low THC variety of Cannabis whereas marijuana is the high THC content variety of Cannabis.

 My Notes from Young Living's Grand Convention

While at Young Living's Grand Convention in 2019, I was able to listen to training and education seminars from Nature's Ultra, Dr. Harry Adelson and Dr. Olivier Wenker. Wenker is a physician for Integrative, Anti-Aging, and Regenerative Medicine and recently authored The Power of CBD and Essential Oils. This might be an excellent resource for those of you interested in learning about CBD and essential oils on a deeper level. 

Each and every presentation brought a lot of information, all very interesting and encouraged me to look into further reading. While listening to the workshop's at convention, I took a few notes to help me understand what makes Young Living and Nature's Ultra CBD oil different. • The literature suggests that the endocannabinoid system modulates feeding behaviors
• The endocannabinoid system may have important implications in regulating energy balance and metabolism
• There is great interest in whether or not CBD or cannabis products can impact addiction and psychiatric disease
