Why research and education are important to consider when buying
It is important important to research the rules and regulations on products that you are using and most certainly ingesting into your body. I encourage you to seek outside information on this topic as well, to become an informed consumer of these products. I personally became empowered to make healthy decisions for my family when I realized the truth about ingredients and labels. Consultation with a healthcare provider should not be dismissed. There are informative resources and research to learn about the process of making essential oils, supplements, and CBD Oil. This information allowed me to see that if these items are not pure, they could almost be more detrimental to our wellness. There is a difference between getting Young Living Essential Oils compared to stopping at the store. Remember, not all things are created equally. It’s something we know for all things in our society, so why think any differently about your essential oils, supplements, or CBD Oil? To be honest with you, it’s actually most important to understand that not all essential oils or supplements are created equally because these items are not regulated. Besides, CBD oil is all the rage! Consider a recent NY Times statement regarding CBD oil: “It’s hot, everywhere and yet almost nobody understands it.” I was driving around running some errands and while I was at a red light I looked at the gas station window. There was a big, bold sign for CBD Oil. There are some scary truths to be told about these products because they are not regulated. There is some gray area in the guidelines about the ingredients, quality, and percentage of actual substance you are buying that needs to be present for it to be labeled a pure product. For example, essential oils sold on the market only require 5% purity for the label to say 100% pure essential oils! How alarming is that?! This is where the importance of having rigorous standards, independent testing, and third-party testing becomes so important! Young Living has that! Consider a recent statement from Harvard Health where they said “CBD is currently is mostly available as an unregulated supplement, it’s difficult to know exactly what you are getting". There is an unbelievable amount of science behind making these essential oil and CBD oil products and when they are available at discount stores, gas stations, and mini-marts, I get very suspicious about the quality of those products!
