Refreshing and Lasting Homemade Body Powder
Body powders or "baby powders" used to contain talcum or talc powder, an ingredient that began to become of concern to many users due to potential deleterious health effects. Many companies have eliminated using these powders and are starting to use starches instead.
Personally, I prefer to make my own products. Many of the powders available in the store use the term "fragrance" as part of their list of known ingredient. Beware however, fragrance is an umbrella term with very little regulation that can mean nearly anything! To assure that I control a majority of my ingredients in my products, I tend to make my own personal care items whenever possible. Body powder is one of them.
