As the competition intensifies, how do you know which essential oil company to choose?
No essential oil company is perfect. Anybody willing to do their research will find that every one of the major essential oil companies has made certain medicinal claims about their products that are not kosher with the FDA.
Believe me, I am not making any excuses. However, most of these claims are made by the companies' distributors. A distributor is any one of us that signs up for the business side of the essential oil companies. Worse yet, there is no vetting for who can become a distributor. All you need is the ability to fill out a W-9 and you're up and running.
So Why Would Anybody Choose to Use Essential Oils in the First Place?
First off, I believe that the only way to optimize health is to "control" your exposures as much as possible. Control what you eat. Control your exercise level. Influence your sleep. And yes, control your ingredients! By my estimation, one of the best ways to control your ingredients is to start making your own products. Trust me, it is a lot easier than you think! One of the main ways to do this is to use essential oils. Most of your products probably already contain essential oils, you just don't even know it. Go ahead, check an ingredients label, we will wait. Where the problem resides is these products also contain a ton of other ingredients that might be hazardous to your health! I encourage you to visit the EWG website and search for some of your products. Be ready for what you might learn about the health risks of these products!

Most essential oils on the market are fragrance grade whereas Young Living essential oils are therapeutic grade. This is an important distinction, do not take it lightly! As always, please do your research and be smart about using oils! Overuse of any compound is likely to land you in trouble and eliminate any potential benefits so do your research and do not hesitate to consult with your physician.
