I have been spending more time in the kitchen trying to bake and cook nutrient-dense foods without sacrificing delicious tastes. My goal while experimenting is to learn how to use alternative healthy ingredients while eliminating the refined and processed ingredients. Now more than ever, my husband and I are learning more and more about the health risks associated with those types of choices.
I enjoy making homemade recipes from scratch because it allows us to control the quality of the ingredients. We have found that a few simple changes in ingredients used for cooking and baking can go along way for our health and wellness.
We started reading books and listening to podcasts to learn about health and wellness. Now we always look at ingredient labels and just simple choose better food. We are always cautious when there's a long list of ingredients that we don't understand. Homemade recipes have helped us eliminate the exposure to harmful ingredients.
