DIY Linen Spray

How to Make DIY Linen Spray

Wondering how to improve the smell of your laundry? 

Simple. Learn how to make a DIY linen spray.

You can use it on the wool dryer balls before each load of laundry or spray the laundry and linens when items need to be freshened up. 


Supplies needed: 
  •  2-4 oz glass spray bottle 
  • Witch Hazel 
  • Distilled Water
    • We actually use gravity-fed filtered water. These contraptions are great!
  • Essential Oils - Some of our favorites include:
    • Lavender
    • Peppermint
    • Lemongrass
    • Orange
    • Lemon
  • Linen Spray Label 
DIY Linen Spray
Directions:
  • In a 4 oz spray bottle
  • Add 10-20 drops total of essential oil. Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Purification, Gentle Baby, Joy, Citrus Fresh, Peppermint, and Stress Away are all great options for laundry. 
  • Add 2 tablespoons of witch hazel 
  • Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water
  • Then put the spray top on the bottle. 
  • Put a Linen Spray label to the bottle 
  • Spray on the wool dryer balls before adding them to the laundry or spray on laundry when it needed to be freshened up.

This is a fairly straight forward recipe that will leave your linens and laundry smelling great. You can customize this blend with whatever essential oils you choose.

Each essential oil will have different characteristics and properties, so research which oil you choose prior to putting in into your blend.

This is *exactly* what I’ve been looking for!! Yay for Pinterest! I went with a lemon/lavender essential oil mixture. Gave a few away as gifts and received so many compliments!!
