August 2019 Promotion from Young Living Essential Oils
When August comes around we often hear the words “Back to School”. This month is also significant in the Young Living essential oils community. Typically Young Living Essential Oils offers monthly promotional gifts when members place orders on their account. I look forward to the promotion each month because Young Living does a great job giving members free products that will support them through the current season. The August promotions are a few products to help us get back in the swing of school and to transition from summer to fall.
The best way to take full advantage of the promotions from Young Living is by ordering on Essential Rewards, which is Young Living’s monthly reward program. When ordering on Essential Rewards members receive all of the items below if they hit the specific PV amount in the order. There are more benefits to being on the reward program too, which I will explain in detail on my Essential Rewards post. Not only are you able to get all the monthly promotions but being on Essential Rewards program allows members to earn reward points as well. Members then are able to use the points to buy products in the future, which is basically more free things! The second way to receive some of the promotions is by placing a Quick Order, which is basically a one time order that you can do at anytime. It’s really great that Young Living give promotions on both types of orders, but there are some gifts exclusive to the Essential Rewards order. You will see below that some of these promotions below are for Essential Reward orders only, so a Quick Order will not receive the gift. You will only receive these gifts if your pv amount hits the mark on one specific order, orders are never combined throughout the month. Another thing to note is that a member may only receive these promotional gifts twice in one month so on the Essential Reward order and only one Quick Order. If a member places a third order in a month they will not qualify for the gifts again.
Here are the August Promotions:
Citrus Fresh is an essential oil blend of grapefruit, orange, tangerine, lemon, mandarin and spearmint.
I enjoy diffusing Citrus Fresh the to help eliminate odors in the bathroom, kitchen, or living room. I often add it to the diffuser with Thieves, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, or Lemon because its refreshing and purifying. It could be an essential oil that you add to your Happy Roller but please be cautious about safety and photosensitivity. Spearmint compliments all the citruses beautifully. Citrus Fresh also comes in a vitality oil, a dietary supplement, and just like lemon is high in limonene too which is a great oil for overall support. What is unique about Citrus Fresh is the hint of Spearmint, which adds a nice fresh feel to the blend. Adding Citrus Fresh Vitality is delicious in water or other beverages.
TummyGize is part of the KidScents Collection which means that it’s already pre-diluted and ready to put on those unhappy tummies of kids 2 years and older. Except this is not just for little ones, I enjoy many of the kidscents essential oils too.
TummyGize is most similar to DiGize Essential Oil, both are for all things digestion. One thing that most people enjoy more about TummyGize is the aroma, it's often much better than Digize. Although I don’t mind the aroma of Digize. The spearmint that is part of the blend in TummyGize is key. Super C Chewable is a big part of my wellness regimen. Super C combines Orange Essential Oil with a blend of camu camu, acerola, cherry, and rose hips fruit powder to create a super powerful immune supporting supplement. Together, these ingredients give us polyphenols, carotenoids, and optimal amounts of vitamin C. I typically take one a day, but sometimes I take 1-3 daily during the school year, as needed.
I personally really like that this supplement is chewable because of mechanical digestion actually allows the supplement to become more bioavailable. In learning about health and wellness, I have discovered that non chewable or compressed supplements are known to be so mechanically compressed that they are known to be eliminated through digestion and actually not providing our body with the nutrients we need.* The Myth of the One-A-Day Multivitamin, by Dr. Scott Olson, is a simple article that explains some information about supplements. He talks about why vitamins are important due to our modern society lifestyles, ingredients to avoid, why it’s important to know your source, and absorption of the nutrients in the body. Information found in Dr. Scott Olson's article and also on podcasts from people like Peter Attia or Rhonda Patrick really affirm my reason to buy my supplements through Young Living. Dr. Olson said, “many one-a-day supplements are packed tightly in a capsule form for easy swallowing. Many times this compressed pill it too hard to actually digest in your stomach. X-ray technicians often see these pills far from the 2 stomach, never having dissolved. A pill that is not digested is worthless and simply increases the nutrient content of your toilet water” (The Myth of The One-A-Day Multivitamin) Super C Chewable is a supplement that I take all year because Vitamin C must come from our diet, we do not synthesize it. Vitamin C is an important vitamin to receive because it is a powerful antioxidant through reduction of free radicals and reactive oxidation. Vitamin C also supports our immune system regulation from interactions with other nutrients. Vitamin C can also help with collagen production,and impacts the health of bones, teeth, and also helps us absorb other nutrients.
Thieves Roll On is a fairly new product that has been released over the last year. It’s a pre-diluted roller of our favorite Thieves Essential Oil which is a blend that combines Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus Radiata, Cinnamon Bark, and Rosemary essential oils.
I use Thieves Essential Oil all year long because it is my wellness keeper but this roll on makes things convenient and easy. If I feel worn down, I use it more often throughout the day.
